Veggie Burger, Sausage, &...MORE We realized a number of years ago that there was an increasing market
for vegetarian and vegan products. We had the equipment in place to
manufacture these items. Many customers requested a veggie burger
that tasted like "beef" rather than mushrooms, tofu or black beans, but
that had NO BEEF or any other meat products in it. It wasn't only
vegans and vegetarians who were looking for these products. In many
cases meat consumers felt they would like to have an occasional healthy
yet tasty alternative.
After much experimentation, we finally found a soy derivative with
flavoring that when reconstituted, tasted very much like beef. A number
of restaurant customers purchased these to put on their menus and we
now often hear back their customer's comments "I can't believe it's
meatless". We now produce two vegan burgers: our "Harvest" soy
based burger (4 ounce) and our more popular "Veggie" burger
(4 or 5 ounce) using the same base but with the addition of corn, peas,
bell peppers, carrots, etc for even better visual appeal especially when
served open-faced.
Both burgers are cholesterol free, and have excellent flavor and bite. We encourage all restaurateurs to ask for a free sample of this burger and we would be pleased to provide one.
Our veggie sausage is the same formula as the veggie burger but made into a 45g link so is ideal as a breakfast pork sausage alternative. It also has great color appeal from the mixed vegetables added.
